I LOVE this years mutual theme. Already we have had great discussions with our girls on how important it is to have courage to do the right thing. My sister-in-law is the Stake YW president and she wanted to me to make her stake a card to pass out. I want to share it with everyone. Feel Free to download HERE

Our family loves music even though we are not the greatest at singing or knowing all the songs. A couple of years ago I was trying to improve singing time in FHE. I decided that I would buy everyone their own song book. It has been very special to everyone to have their own. I even had their name printed on the book.

Scout Pinewood Derby Certificate

We had a pinewood derby last year and looked all over for a great certificate that we could use & we wanted all the boys to have lanyards for the event. We could not find any - we were shocked -- maybe we were looking on the wrong sites. Well this is what we came up with:

Baptism Story

This is a great activity to do while you're waiting for someone to be baptized. It helps crowd control - and it's a nice song list to sing about Christ. It's NOT a program - it's a song list with a intro into every song.

Disaster Movies - 72-hour kits

I watched the “day after” one time – I was totally motivated to get my 72-hour kits together. Other great disaster movies are as follows:

1.) Twister (1996): An ex-married couple battles an F-5 tornado!

YW in Excellence - FAITH

For our YW in Excellence the theme was "hearts knit in love". She really wanted the girls to learn to love each other more. They had all the YW write notes to each other why they love each other - I thought it was nice.

Baylie's theme project and value she worked on was Faith - instead of planting a seed and watching it grow she and Doug planted the flowers out in the front yard with Doug and has been taking care of them. She did a great job!

You are Unique - FHE

Your talents are needed too
Don’t think just because you don’t play the piano or violin or aren’t a great public speaker that you have nothing to contribute to the Church. Your unique talents will permit you to touch lives in a completely unique way and reach people beyond the help of anyone but you. And when you’re counting talents, don’t overlook some of the quiet ones, like being a good listener or truly loving your enemies. These and others like them are among the noblest talents of which God’s children are capable. So please play your part in the symphony and share yourself with us. We need you.

Our family made snowflakes and covered our front door area - with the mormonad that went with it.

We also made signs with everyone's name and passed it around the family and everyone wrote something unique about that person. We shared them out loud in the end - we laughed and had a good time!
